There is not a lot to say about this little Prince as he is only 9 months old! But he has made a few very cute appearances since his birth.

His choice of name was more unexpected than his brother and sister. This was most likely owing to Louis being one of his brother’s middle names. Nevertheless it is a popular royal name which the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge clearly love. The choice of Arthur was a leading contender for the bookies as his first name. It’s royal status dates back to medieval times and the stories of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round table. The name has been given to previous royal Prince’s including Queen Victoria’s 3rd son, (who you can read about here). His other middle name of Charles is most likely a direct reference to Prince Charles, his Grandfather.

The birth announcement was very similar to his siblings and followed the tradition of the gun salute in Hyde Park. He was Christened 9th July by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the Chapel Royal at St James’ Palace.

Hopefully we will see a lot more of Louis this year!
